Discovering Affordable Delights at New Mwanainchi Hotel in Kenya

Visiting New Mwanainchi Hotel at Brooke Center in Kenya was a delightful experience that I simply have to share! As a tappi merchant, this restaurant has earned a reputation for serving delicious and cheap food, making it a must-visit spot for locals and visitors alike.

I arrived at the hotel at around 1 PM, just in time for lunch. The atmosphere was bustling yet welcoming, filled with the delightful aroma of freshly prepared meals which instantly made my mouth water. I couldn’t wait to dive into their menu, which offers a variety of options that cater to different tastes without breaking the bank.

Because I had heard so many great things about their Ugali with Sukuma Wiki, I decided to try it out. The dish, priced at just Ksh 200, was generously portioned and absolutely flavorful. The ugali was perfectly cooked, holding its shape well and paired beautifully with the sautéed sukuma wiki that had just the right amount of seasoning. A fellow diner had mentioned how comforting this dish is for lunch, and I couldn’t agree more. It’s an excellent choice for anyone looking to savor a traditional Kenyan meal that’s both filling and affordable.

The highlight of my visit, however, was meeting Juma, one of the waiters, whose warm hospitality made me feel right at home. Juma not only took my order promptly but also made recommendations based on what I might enjoy. His cheerful demeanor and attentiveness truly enhanced my dining experience, and I could see why other reviewers had commented positively about the service at New Mwanainchi Hotel.

After my scrumptious ugali dish, I decided to indulge in their Chicken Stew, priced at Ksh 300. This was another crowd favorite, and I was eager to see if it lived up to the hype. The chicken was tender and rich in flavor, stewed to perfection and served with a side of rice that complimented the dish perfectly. A fellow diner even mentioned in their review that it was the best chicken stew they had tasted in the city, and I have to agree!

For dessert, I couldn’t resist trying their Pineapple Juice, refreshing and only Ksh 100. It’s a perfect palate cleanser after the savory dishes, and I could tell it was made from fresh pineapples, giving it a natural sweetness that was both invigorating and thirst-quenching.

Overall, my experience at New Mwanainchi Hotel was exceptional. The combination of delicious food, fantastic service from Juma, and the wallet-friendly prices makes it a go-to destination for anyone looking to enjoy a hearty meal in Kenya. I highly recommend stopping by this gem at Brooke Center, especially if you appreciate good food that doesn’t cost a fortune.
