Recently, I stumbled upon Ramjays Cafe, a charming little spot in Kenya that specializes in an array of delightful goodies, including chips, smokies, and the ever-popular choma. Intrigued by its vibrant offerings, I decided to pay a visit on a sunny Saturday afternoon around 2 PM.
The moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted by the warm aroma of grilled meat, filling my senses with anticipation. The decor was cozy, making it a perfect place for friends and families alike to gather. I was particularly excited about trying their famed chips and smokies, which I had heard so much about!
First up, I ordered the chips, and I must say, they exceeded my expectations. The fries were golden brown, crispy on the outside yet fluffy on the inside. At just Ksh 150, they were quite affordable and made for a generous serving. With a sprinkle of salt and a dash of chili sauce, they were absolutely divine!
Next, I couldn’t resist trying the smokies, which cost me about Ksh 100. They were perfectly grilled, flavorful, and paired excellently with a side of kachumbari, enhancing the overall taste. The smokies were juicy, with just the right amount of spice and seasoning, making them a winner in my book.
While enjoying my meal, I was lucky enough to be served by Samuel, one of the attendants at the cafe. His friendly demeanor and attentive service made the experience even more pleasant. It's always nice to be served by someone who genuinely seems to care about the experience of his customers.
Before wrapping up my visit, I decided to treat myself to a cup of their smoky mocha. Priced at around Ksh 200, it was the perfect way to finish off my meal. Rich and frothy, this mocha had just the right balance of sweetness and coffee flavor. It was a delightful complement to the savory snacks I’d enjoyed earlier.
All in all, my experience at Ramjays Cafe was nothing short of fantastic. The combination of low prices, mouth-watering snacks, and excellent service made it a memorable outing. I left the cafe feeling satisfied, and I can’t wait to return to explore more of their offerings!
